ThunderCats (1985)

Episode Overview

While exploring New Thundera, Wily Kit and Kat discover an Orb of Gold, assuming it to be part of their heritage. However, the orb's immense power begins to corrupt the ThunderKittens, fueling their greed. Mumm-Ra seizes the orb for himself, amplifying his strength fourfold and even shattering the Sword of Omens. Fortunately, Jar, the scrap metal collector, is able to reforge it for Lion-O. With newfound power, Lion-O confronts the ancient spirits of evil, who banish him from their pyramid until he relinquishes the orb. Ultimately, they allow him back in but destroy the Orb of Gold in the process.
