Episode Overview
Khadijah competes against Marcus Hughes, an arrogant journalist from the Village Voice, to break a story about a fight-fixing promoter. She seems to gain an advantage after persuading one of the fighters to give her an interview and spill the details of the scandal. However, Marcus tricks the maid into letting him into Khadijah's hotel room and hides in the bathroom to record the interview. Yet, Khadijah has a clever move of her own—she arranges for Flavor to hit the shelves a day early, teasing Marcus about her control over the magazine. Meanwhile, Regine is excited to learn that she inspired a trendy doll. Max manages to negotiate a profit share for Regine, but her dreams of riches are dashed when a flaw in the doll is revealed: its wig is extremely flammable. Tag: The doll bursts into flames.
