Episode Overview
Feeling dejected, Synclaire hesitates to audition for a dashboard grill infomercial, but Max urges her to chase her acting dreams. To prevent Synclaire from lounging around the apartment on her day off, Regine volunteers Max to take her to the audition. When the director dismisses Synclaire without hearing her lines, Max confronts him and, impressed by her boldness, gives her the role. Synclaire feels betrayed, believing Max has stolen her chance. During the taping, she nearly walks off, but Max brings her back as a skeptical customer. Their performance impresses, but they are ultimately fired for being too spontaneous. Grateful, Synclaire acknowledges Max's role in restoring her confidence. Meanwhile, Overton struggles with guilt after dreaming about the R&B group TLC, having dozed off during their videos.
