Festus takes on the role of both guide and driver for a missionary teacher from the East as she embarks on her first assignment. Their journey, however, is fraught with danger as a violent hillbilly family trails them, intent on setting up an ambush. As they navigate the treacherous terrain, Festus must stay one step ahead of their pursuers to ensure the safety of his charge.
