Episode Overview

After having to shoot a man who was causing trouble at the Long Branch, Matt seeks solitude and stumbles upon a young girl and a newborn in a cave. The girl and her parents are unwilling to care for the baby, so they hand it over to Matt. He concludes that the best place for the child is with Miss Kitty until a solution can be figured out. As Matt plans to entrust the baby to the widow of the man he killed, he remains unaware that Kitty is considering selling the Long Branch to keep the baby for herself.
