Elaine sends a client named George Madison to the firm, who is taking legal action against a well-known feminist magazine for wrongful termination. The newly appointed editor-in-chief dismissed him due to his religious beliefs regarding women. George trusts the firm and hires Cage to represent him. Meanwhile, Ally feels an undeniable attraction to George. To complicate matters, Elaine hints to Ally that she and George are romantically involved, causing Ally to distance herself. As she attempts to manage her feelings for George, Ally and Renee host a dinner party, and Elaine arrives with George as her date.
