Cassandra catches John off guard with a surprise visit to his office. She hopes to rekindle the romance they had in LA, but John isn't ready to pursue anything further, feeling the distance and still grappling with his feelings for Melanie. Meanwhile, Ally takes on a case involving a man facing a lawsuit for not disclosing to his online date that he is a dwarf. Larry represents the woman suing, and their legal battle prompts Ally to reflect on their own relationship, questioning if she and Larry would still be together if she were three feet tall. In another case, Ling and Jackson represent a woman suing her ex-boyfriend for interrupting her wedding. During this, Jackson reveals his true feelings for Ling, leaving her conflicted as she juggles her emotions for both him and Richard. Caught in the midst of this turmoil is Renee, who feels manipulated by Jackson’s affections.
