The Street (2006)

Episode Overview

In need of extra cash, taxi driver Eddie takes on an additional night shift and ends up picking up Ojo, an African asylum seeker. With Ojo’s shelter closed for the night, Eddie decides to bring him back to his home. Despite their communication struggles, the two men bond over their shared experiences. However, their growing friendship doesn’t sit well with some of Eddie’s less tolerant neighbors, and tensions rise. Ultimately, Eddie’s wife Margie, having set an ultimatum, chooses to leave him, adding strain to Eddie’s already complicated situation.
