Episode Overview

D.I. Galloway is on the lookout for eight men to participate in an identity parade following an assault on a woman. They encounter a crowd of football fans who are "encouraged" to assist with the lineup. Meanwhile, P.C. Melvin comes to the aid of a woman who has locked herself out of her vehicle. The CIB (Complaints Investigation Bureau) arrives at the station, preventing the early shift from leaving due to an investigation into a police officer allegedly pocketing a parking fine. Tensions rise among the team, especially for P.C. Nick Shaw and W.P.C. June Ackland, who are under intense scrutiny since they were on patrol at the time. Shaw faces trouble for not declaring Ackland as a passenger in his patrol car. As they undergo questioning, another incident involving corrupt officers surfaces, leading CID to arrest a mechanic from the police garage and his girlfriend, who were impersonating police and collecting fines.
