After the murder of the man holding the last fragment of the Flaming Sword, which subsequently disappears, Mom teams up with Chloe and Lucifer to investigate the case. However, when Lucifer finds himself out of the action, Maze steps in to enlist his help in rescuing Dr. Linda's jeopardized career, leading to a confrontation where she challenges him about the secrets he’s been hiding.
