Beowulf sets out to reinforce the town's defenses when Greff, an iron miner, falls victim to a menacing Mudborn creature—a Troll. Meanwhile, Slean's betrothed makes her entrance in Herot, but Slean finds himself preoccupied with matters far removed from thoughts of marriage.
