Episode Overview

Following over a month of fierce fighting on the island of Okinawa, Sledge and his fellow Marines from the 1st Marine Division receive orders to support an Army unit entrenched against one of the island's most fortified Japanese strongholds. The harsh environment and the ethical challenges stemming from the civilian population weigh heavily on Sledge and his comrades, testing their physical stamina and mental resilience to the limit.
