G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (1983)

Episode Overview

Cobra stages a heist to seize all communication satellites, leaving only their own propaganda-filled network, Cobra Network Television, broadcasting shows that push their agendas, like Father's No Beast and altered classic film endings. In response, G.I. Joe dispatches three operatives in Skystrikers equipped with rocket boosters to take down Cobra's satellite. However, they soon realize it's a space station and are shot back to the ground. Undeterred, G.I. Joe initiates a space training program to prepare a team for a second attempt. Though their Skystrikers are again obliterated, the team manages to infiltrate the station, outmaneuvering the Dreadnoks and ultimately destroying the facility. They make their escape in a Cobra shuttle, restoring television to its former glory.
