The Emperor of Qing calls Fan Xian and Prince Li Cheng Ru to the palace. During their meeting, Fan Xian shares the list of Chancellor Lin's retainers that was given to him by Chancellor Lin. In a surprising turn of events, the Emperor announces that Fan Xian is to be married in three days, bringing great joy to Fan Xian.
