Episode Overview

The body of mountaineer Bernard Lang is found at the base of the Luxor Obelisk in Place de la Concorde, his neck broken and still in his climbing gear. Jo, intrigued by the obelisk and its historical significance, realizes it offers a prime view of the area, which includes the Hôtel de Crillon. That same evening, in one of the hotel suites, a refined young woman (Miranda Raison) is engaged in an affair, betraying her husband.
