Episode Overview

Bolander and Felton find themselves facing a 22-week suspension without pay due to their conduct at a police conference in Washington, DC. Meanwhile, Howard is preparing to take the sergeant's exam. Pembleton and Bayliss are tasked with investigating a body discovered at the site of an arson. There, they encounter an arson detective whose methods conflict with Frank's approach. As Frank hesitates in pursuing a suspect, it’s revealed that his wife is expecting. Munch also opts to take the exam, and as bets are placed on the outcome, most believe Howard will succeed. In the midst of discussions about the fire possibly being a cover-up for murder, a new blaze ignites.
