Episode Overview
A surge in drug-related murders has been reported, while Pembleton and Kellerman find themselves stuck behind desks. A federal grand jury is investigating events from Mike's time in the arson unit. Frank neglects his medication as he prepares for a shooting proficiency test. Meanwhile, Brodie moves out of Munch's apartment and takes up residence with Bayliss. Lewis discovers that the witness to his drug murder case has been brought in for questioning. He encounters Stivers, a narcotics detective, and learns that his witness implicates Luther Mahoney as the contract's mastermind. However, when they search for the executor, they find he has already been killed. Stivers pages Mahoney for interrogation, but they struggle to build a strong case, and Frank narrowly fails his test by four points.
