Episode Overview

A white man is discovered lynched in a historically significant black neighborhood, prompting Falsone and Lewis to launch an investigation. Meanwhile, Tim is confused by Frank's concern over his growing attraction to Laura Ballard, especially after Tim’s promising dinner date with the male restaurant owner. The autopsy unveils that the victim suffered not only lynching but also whipping. Gharty expresses concern about Ballard’s potential involvement with Bayliss, who is known for his fluid sexuality. Lewis believes the lynching connects to the victim's ancestor, a notorious runaway slave catcher. Tim and Laura also visit an art exhibition together.
