Episode Overview
Ballard is frustrated when news of her date with Falsone spreads through the squad room. Meanwhile, Munch is secretive about a doctor’s appointment. Dr. Griscom contacts the homicide unit after identifying a series of deaths linked to a poison called phosphozine. The FBI intervenes, assigning MGee to lead a task force, labeling the poisonings as domestic terrorism. Among the victims is a priest along with two parishioners, raising suspicions about the communion wine. As investigators collect wine bottles from local churches, they discover a needle hole in one cork. A citywide search for wine retailers ensues, but tension rises when an internal leak alerts the media, causing public panic. MGee tries to trace the leak while dealing with the fallout.
