When Mel receives the divorce papers, she is determined to maintain a semblance of normality for Henry and Katie by keeping their annual family vacation intact. After Joyce's online date abruptly ends, Mel reluctantly invites her to join the trip. To their astonishment, what was once a disastrous getaway turns into a chance for Mel and Joyce to genuinely appreciate one another, just as they are about to finalize their divorce. Meanwhile, Henry's crush, Jenny, joins the vacation, pushing him to confront his fear of horses in order to enjoy this special time with the girl he adores.
