A grand state funeral is conducted to honor Schtemwölech's illustrious reign. Peepi and Altea reunite with Köinzell, who has been hiding in the mountains. As they observe the funeral procession burying the landgrave’s coffin in the revered site, Köinzell swears to take revenge on the six surviving heroes.
