Episode Overview

Set in July 1956, The Hour is facing a crisis with declining ratings and harsh reviews, leading to childish disputes between Hector and Freddie. Still reeling from Ruth's tragic death, Freddie believes she was murdered. Meanwhile, Lix's new assistant on the foreign desk is none other than Tom Kish, Peter's murderer. As Bel and Hector navigate a significant challenge, they find themselves growing closer, all while Hector's wife, Marnie, keeps a watchful eye. A chance encounter with Ruth's grieving father, Lord Elms, provides Freddie with a crucial lead, propelling him toward the truth but also heightening his peril.
