Episode Overview

Rick Ballinger, a veteran war hero in his twilight years, is set on embarking on a solo journey to the South Pacific. Dr. Welby learns that Ballinger suffers from pernicious anemia and cautions him that such a trip could be deadly. Despite the warning, Ballinger remains resolute, feeling the need to uphold a heroic image for the sake of his son and young wife.
