After an operation successfully restores Paul Hannan's vision, he finds his feelings for his blind fiancée, Laura Jelliffe, beginning to fade. Laura, who works at the Center for the Blind, tries to avoid the painful situation of their engagement being called off by requesting a transfer to a different city.
