Inspector Montalbano (1999)

Episode Overview

A young woman's lifeless body is discovered in a villa just outside Vigata, prompting Montalbano to investigate. He learns she had recently purchased the villa and was renovating it with funds from her affluent husband. When the case is reassigned to his rival, Inspector Panzacchi from Montelusa, Panzacchi jumps to hasty conclusions, threatening to derail the investigation. Faced with the possibility of an innocent person being wrongfully accused, will Montalbano take the risk to reclaim the case, or will he let his less capable colleagues misdirect their efforts?
