Overview
Sheep in the Big City is an animated series that aired on Cartoon Network for two seasons, from November 17, 2000, to April 7, 2002. The show kicked off with its pilot during Cartoon Network's "Cartoon Cartoon Summer" on August 18, 2000. Created by Mo Willems, the series centers around a sheep named Sheep who escapes to start anew in "the Big City." Alongside Sheep's adventures, the show features various unrelated sketches reminiscent of The Rocky & Bullwinkle Show. With its more refined humor and clever references to filmmaking and television, it resonated particularly well with older audiences. Upon its debut, it achieved the highest ratings for a Cartoon Network original series.
