As the Pirate fleet sets course for Io, Simbacca instructs Marsh to train a group of pirates in operating e-frames. J.T. argues against this, pointing out the complexity of the machines makes quick learning nearly impossible. Nevertheless, the e-frames are deployed to intercept Neo scouts before they can relay information back to Sinope, home to a dangerous Neo Fusion Pulse Cannon. When the fleet approaches the cannon's range, it begins targeting their ships. Marsh, DeLeon, and Hallas manage to destroy the cannon, ensuring the safety of both the fleet and Io.
