Last Exile (2003)

Episode Overview

Exile launches a chaotic attack on both the alliance and the Guild as they draw near to the ship, prompting the alliance fleet to retreat to avoid further losses. Claus meets up at a refueling station in the Dragon's Fangs and begins his journey to the Grand Stream, changing vanships and navigators at various points until he finally finds Lavie again. During his travels, Claus engages in a dogfight with two Guild fighters, successfully taking them down with Tatiana as his navigator. When Exile picks up a pulse signal, it starts to pull back from the Grand Stream towards Disith, with both fleets following suit. At the Casino Royale, the final checkpoint before the Grand Stream, Claus and Alvis reunite with Lavie, who possesses the message tube containing the last Mysterion. They take off together in Claus and Lavie’s reinforced vanship, but soon find themselves intercepted by Dio, who has fled the Mad-thane residence in a separate craft.
