Pokémon (1997)

Episode Overview

Title: Go West Young Meowth Plot: Ash and his friends travel to a small town near Hollywood to attend the premiere of the movie featuring their Pokémon. Team Rocket also arrives, intrigued by Meowth's past in this area. It turns out that he was once part of a gang of street Meowths led by a formidable Persian. In an effort to impress a female Meowth, who had been left by her owner, Meowth learned to walk on two legs and speak. Now back in town, he confronts Persian, his former mentor, in a bid to reclaim the love he lost years ago.
