As Team Rocket trudges along, they unexpectedly run into the Magikarp salesman again, still bitter about how he tricked James into purchasing multiple Magikarp. James attempts to demand a refund, but the salesman persuades them to buy an Evolution Machine instead. Meanwhile, Ash and his friends meet Oralie and Haley, two coordinators boasting about their unbeatable Magikarp and Feebas. After Ash and Dawn suffer defeats at the hands of Oralie's Magikarp, Team Rocket seizes the opportunity to steal Magikarp, Feebas, and Pikachu, hoping to evolve them. Will their plan succeed?
