As they travel to Hearthome City for Dawn's upcoming Pokémon Contest and Ash's Gym battle, the group decides to let their Pokémon have some fun on a steamboat while they shop. Things take a turn when the steamboat unexpectedly drifts away, leaving only Ash, Brock, and Dawn's Pokémon on board. This sudden situation throws everyone into a serious dilemma as they scramble to figure out how to handle the runaway vessel.
