Title: Dressed for Jess Success! Plot: As the Lilypad Town Contest kicks off, Jessie falls ill, prompting James to step in for her. In the opening round, Dawn battles with Piplup while James opts for Meowth. Both competitors advance to the Semi-Final Round, vying for the Suiren Ribbon. In this showdown, Dawn calls on Mamoswine, while James battles with Carnivine. Despite employing a clever new tactic using Ice Shard, reminiscent of Grotle's energy ball from a previous episode, Dawn ultimately falls short against James. In the end, James triumphs and graciously presents the ribbon to a recovering Jessie.
