Team Galactic successfully captures the Lake Trio with assistance from Pokémon Hunter J. When Ash, Brock, and Dawn are brought to Team Galactic's headquarters, they find themselves in a precarious standoff with the organization’s members. They discover that Cyrus, a businessman they encountered earlier, is actually the mastermind behind Team Galactic. Meanwhile, Hunter J meets her end when her ship crashes into Lake Valor, unaware that Future Sight had been aimed at her.
