Episode Overview

While on Iron Island, Barry is busy training with his Empoleon and Heracross when Empoleon unexpectedly turns against him. Concerned, Barry contacts Ash and Dawn, who are in Canalave Town, to share the alarming news that other Pokémon on the island are also behaving oddly. Ash and his friends quickly board a ferry to Iron Island, unaware that Team Rocket is secretly tailing them. Meanwhile, Barry has taken off to investigate the island on his own. The strange occurrences seem to be limited to Steel-type Pokémon, but the reason remains a mystery.
