While enjoying a break on Capacia Island, Ash, Iris, and Cilan stumble upon a rare event that occurs only once every millennium: the awakening of Jirachi, who can grant a wish. Gemma, a local girl, hopes to wish for the island's prosperity to return. However, Team Rocket has their own schemes in mind, aiming to intercept Jirachi for their own gain.
