Episode Overview
Pikachu has really mastered its Iron Tail attack, which is great news for Ash as he prepares to face Roxanne, the Gym Leader in Rustboro City. He’s going to need all the support he can get to defeat her Geodude. Meanwhile, May is feeling uncertain about the battle and decides to step away from being a trainer, choosing instead to pursue her dream of becoming a Pokémon Coordinator and entering contests. When the match starts, things don’t look promising for Ash as Geodude quickly knocks out Treecko. It all falls on Pikachu, whose electric moves aren’t effective against a Rock Type. However, Ash devises a strategy, and with Pikachu’s newly honed Iron Tail, they not only take down Geodude but also defeat Nosepass. Ash triumphs over Roxanne and earns his Stone Badge.
