Episode Overview
As Ash and May gear up for their upcoming adventure in the Kanto region, May decides to leave two of her Pokémon with her parents in Petalburg City, Hoenn. Just before they set off, Team Rocket appears, attempting to swipe all of Ash's Pokémon, prompting the group to band together and thwart their nefarious scheme. After successfully dealing with Team Rocket, May entrusts one of her Pokémon to Professor Oak. Meanwhile, a Squirtle unexpectedly chooses her as its Trainer, joining her team. Ash also leaves two of his Hoenn-caught Pokémon with Professor Oak, but one from the lab opts to join him on his new quest.
