Zoe hesitantly permits Joel to plan her birthday celebration at Lavon's, hoping it will lift his spirits. However, the situation takes a turn when her mother unexpectedly shows up. Vivian is eager to meet Wade's father, but Wade is apprehensive about how she might respond. AnnaBeth receives an unexpected proposal from the Belles that, given recent events, could serve as an ideal diversion for her. Meanwhile, George is set on demonstrating to Tansy that his rival, Scooter McGreevy, is still the same and deceiving everyone around him.
