With the TAC overwhelmed by reports of monstrous creatures and the sudden growth of enormous plants, Kunikida sets out for Izumo in search of answers. At the same time, Momiji reunites with her mother, Moe, but her mind drifts to Kusanagi, who is engaged in battle against Susana-Oh, alongside Kaede and Muramuko.
