As the sun sets, Ippo's mother is getting fishing gear ready, and he feels guilty for being late to assist her. The following day at the Kamogawa gym, amidst everyone's training, the coach shares exciting news: Aoki and Kimura have signed up for the prestigious Class A tournament. Ippo is shocked to discover that he is also among the competitors. Meanwhile, Geromichi is taken aback to find out that he has been entered into the pro test.
