Episode Overview

Ippo and his coach arrive in the city to witness the featherweight champion, Takeshi Sendo, defend his title against the formidable Shigeta Akira, ranked fourth. From the outset, the champion finds himself in a tough battle, as the challenger proves to be a tricky southpaw. Despite Sendo’s efforts to land powerful punches, Shigeta skillfully evades them and even manages to counter Sendo’s signature move, the Smash, leaving the champion struggling to maintain his rhythm in the ring.
