Corrinda is brought in for questioning about Heather's death but is released after Shaye presents video evidence of Corrinda voicing her grievances about Heather around the time of the murder. Meanwhile, the relationship between Dusty and Larry's corpse takes a more intimate turn. The trial begins poorly when the Judge announces he will use a flute as his gavel, and Crim nearly faces charges for Heather's murder, even though he was incarcerated at the time. Marilyn initiates her scheme to attract new investments to Shuckton but struggles to gain traction. As the trial proceeds, Dusty takes the stand as the first witness, only to reveal he never completed the autopsy, prompting the Judge to order Larry's body to be exhumed, which sends Dusty fleeing to hide his misdeeds.
