Episode Overview

Shortly after his groundbreaking ride, Garrett is surprised by a visit from his mother, which leads him to reflect on his chaotic and unusual upbringing. In 2013, a team of Brazilian surfers arrives in Nazare, but when they ignore Garrett's warnings about safety, they face a life-threatening situation. Then, in 2017, Garrett competes in a major big wave event, but the day takes a tragic turn for him.
