Baines warns Diana that she will face expulsion if she doesn’t take down the partition, but both have bigger issues at hand as Daisy grows increasingly controlling, imposing her vision on the household and intimidating the staff with threats of dismissal. Eventually, Tom rallies a rebellion against Daisy, forcing her to exit the scene, which prompts Diana to finally dismantle the partition.
