Station 51 welcomes a new trainee named Karen Overstreet, eager to demonstrate that women can excel as paramedics. In a tense moment, a man attempts to take his own life by gas, but he has a change of heart. Meanwhile, during a house fire, Roy puts his life on the line to rescue an invalid but faces a near-fatal shock when exposed to live wires. Luckily, Karen steps in with her defibrillator skills just in time to save him!
