Episode Overview
In St. Meinrad, IN, the Farina family is set to receive a life-changing renovation. Although Shawna has successfully raised funds for breast cancer awareness, her mounting medical expenses have dashed the family's hopes of renovating their aging farmhouse. The house lacks proper insulation for harsh winters, features a makeshift shower in the sole bathroom, and is missing three bedroom doors. Thanks to Ty and the team from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the Farinas will finally have a home they can cherish, where Shawna can enjoy watching her children grow, free from the burdens of her illness. While their house is transformed by local builder Kerstiens Homes & Designs and a dedicated group of volunteers, the family travels to Walt Disney World for a much-needed getaway.
