Their lives are set to change once Ty and the crew complete renovations on their home. This week’s featured hero is Susan DeVries, who battles Ventricular Tachycardia, a potentially fatal arrhythmia. Despite her health struggles, Susan passionately works as a music teacher, band director, and first-grade reading specialist. She also shares bus driving duties with her husband, Dirk, who lost an arm in a farming accident. When her school lacked funds for instruments, Susan creatively fashioned flutes and other musical items from recycled materials.
