Episode Overview

The Extreme Makeover Home Edition bus arrives at the playground, where Cynthia, Clara's adult daughter, is playing with several children. Excitedly, they rush to welcome Ty, the Design Team, and a visibly emotional Mary J. Blige. Ty gathers everyone onto the bus to surprise Clara and Bennie at their home. After listening to heartfelt stories from the kids about Clara's impact on their lives, Ty reveals the exciting news that they're heading to Walt Disney World! Meanwhile, Clara, in her wheelchair, gives Ty a tour of her house. Mary J. Blige and Paige are taken aback by the challenges Clara faces, especially the difficulty in navigating her own home and the inability to close her bathroom door. Mary shares her own experiences with neglected children and expresses her admiration for Clara's dedication to making a difference in their lives. Paul also takes a look at Bennie’s room, noting his near blindness and the need for special considerations in the design.
