Episode Overview

When Gary learns that rookie pitcher Pedro Mendoza of the Chicago Cubs is on the verge of throwing a no-hitter, Chuck persuades him to go to the game. However, Chuck accidentally alters fate by taking a cab intended for Pedro, leading to news of the pitcher getting injured en route to Wrigley Field. After Gary intervenes to avert Pedro's accident, he finds himself trying to rescue a restaurant owner from a dangerous loan shark. Discovering that the owner is Pedro's brother, they realize they're caught in a looming disaster. With time running out, Gary and Chuck must act quickly to ensure Pedro can pitch and secure his place in history.
