Siro alerts Jen to his concerns about her new bodyguard, Takeda. Unbeknownst to him, Shang Tsung has sent Scorpion to take control of Takeda and carry out the assassination of Kung Lao, who has been condemned to death by the Baron. Rayden persuades Siro and Taja to join forces and assist in the unfolding crisis.
